One ill-prepared California mom, posing as a Utah soccer mom. No warm clothes for her little soccer player. No sweats. No gloves. No hat.
Thank goodness for experienced friends who also live out of their suv's! (Mine will be well-stocked before the next game!)
We got Kimbel a little better prepared to play and although completely and thoroughly wet and cold -- THRILLED to win the game!
Off to McCafe (whatever.) for hot chocolates!!
crazy.

I, too, have endured some freezing cold soccer games. I have been the last one standing as Mark took the rest of the family to the car. I have stood in the whipping wind and even the rain to watch Rachel kick butt on the soccer field. SHe played 2 seasons and was really incredible. SHe didnt' play this year as she wanted to try some new activities in junior high like drama and track. SHe was cast in both the fall and spring plays but missed track as it conflicted with the spring play.
You have been christened into spring soccer and you will not soon forget to keep extra blankets in the car. It's a learning curve and it's brutal sometimes! Good luck.
