Utah soccer

Just imagine... a snow-covered field.  14 seven-year-olds and one frozen soccer ball.

One ill-prepared California mom, posing as a Utah soccer mom.   No warm clothes for her little soccer player.  No sweats.  No gloves.  No hat.

Thank goodness for experienced friends who also live out of their suv's!  (Mine will be well-stocked before the next game!)

We got Kimbel a little better prepared to play and although completely and thoroughly wet and cold -- THRILLED to win the game!

Off to McCafe (whatever.) for hot chocolates!!

Kelly is definitely his mother's son.  And boy are we all glad that Grandma taught him how to make such yummy things!!

Mmmm... yummy warm bread from the oven on a cold Sunday evening.  Does it get better than this?   

Oh, yes it does ... we started the evening with homemade pizza made with the yummy bread dough.

Birthday Bash!!

What a fun birthday!

The day started with a trip to Build-A-Bear at the Gateway in SLC... 

then home for some present opening...

and then we headed to Chuck E. Cheese's in Layton where Grandpa & Grandma B. and Jared, Niccole & Taya along with the Duffin gang and Braden's best friend Casen ~ had a PARTY!

The things they make him do...

I am married to one fabulous guy - and he never ceases to AMAZE me!  

Being the CEO of the hospital in a tight knit community like Tooele leaves him open to LOTS of opportunities to be in front of groups of people.  (ask him about the magic show..)  Usually NOT as Elvis -- but Monday evening he was definitely channeling THE KING.

The hospital hosted the Doug Gabriel Family - a variety show.  It was an entertaining evening with the kids.  The girls swooned over the teenage son who played the drums and Braden thought the 10 year old daughter was really cute.  It was fun - but the highlight was definitely Kel shakin' his booty!  (Oh, where was my video camera?!?)

The girls have had WAY too much fun with our imac and thus, the results.  They made this video especially for some CA friends (Bartons, you still bring out the silliness in our house) to prove that they are still goofy.  Well - if you dare watch this - I think they prove their point (and then some...)
